Integrated Amplifiers
Integrated amplifiers are the most popular amplifier category. They commonly use Class A, A/B or D designs, each with a different character. When choosing an integrated amplifier, consider whether you also need a built-in DAC, which adds digital inputs (coaxial, optical and USB-B). If your other audio-video components already have suitable DACs, analogue connectivity may be sufficient. Connect these devices using analogue RCA/XLR cables.

Choosing an integrated amplifier
Start with your speakers' requirements, room size and normal listening volume. Compare power at the relevant impedance and supported speaker loads. Check inputs for your sources, including any phono, HDMI or DAC requirements. Confirm streaming, headphone outputs and subwoofer connectivity for the individual model.
