HDMI cabling is constantly updated in terms of labeling, with the latest specifications primarily concerning data transfer speeds. Although HDMI cables are backward compatible, we recommend checking what labeling your AV system requires for the highest possible performance. For blu-ray players, a cable labeled 2.0 is sufficient, whereas for gaming consoles, we recommend the latest 2.1 specification. For distances longer than 5 meters, optical HDMI cables are intended, ensuring the required transfer.
