Speakers
Speakers are divided into passive and active. Passive speakers need to be connected to an amplifier. Active speakers already have an amplifier built-in, most commonly in the digital category, also known as Class D. Both of these categories are further divided into floor-standing, bookshelf, center, subwoofers, effect (satellite), in-wall, outdoor, Bluetooth, and last but not least, the increasingly popular Dolby Atmos. More about individual speakers and their use can be found in the respective categories.
