The MA-1 is part of the reference series of Matrix audio components (MP-1, MS-1) featuring top-notch technologies. To reduce output impedance, 10 powerful ONSEMI transistors are used for each channel, creating a push-pull amplification circuit, achieving distortion-free sound even under high load. The amplifier is powered independently by transformers for the left and right channels, allowing for a symmetrical design with a total value of 1250 VA. Each channel contains 14 parallel-connected 6,800 µF capacitors, forming the main filter capacitor matrix of the power supply, with a total capacitor capacity for both channels reaching 190,000 µF. Compared to a single capacitor with the same capacity, multiple parallel-connected capacitors have a lower equivalent internal resistance, ensuring greater flexibility in handling large current outputs.

Inside the unit, a chip is installed to measure the optimal temperature inside the chassis. Using two sensors on the main heatsink, it regulates a 7.4" ultra-quiet fan and dynamically adjusts the fan speed for an uninterrupted listening experience. The design inside the precisely engineered layout prevents dust accumulation from long-term operation. All the listed hardware components are housed on a 20 mm CNC aluminum plate, which is attached to a unique design structure that was specially designed, developed, and adapted for the Matrix Audio M series. It is a frame, or if you prefer, an H-shaped structure that brings optimal stability and eliminates interference between circuits.
